Cold Kickin' It

I met some kindred spirits of mine today.  They, too, hate the cold.  However, they were AMAZING clients...despite the 40 degree weather, they smiled through their shivers and posed in between prayer to the  sun gods.

They were so sweet...very fun, and very in love with each other...all 3 of them!  I sorta think that the weather was supposed to be as cold as it was today so that I could capture these special snuggles on camera.  Cute, outgoing, and champion cuddlers.  Check them out...feel the love, people!

Mama's Got a Brand New...

phone.  It's hot pink.  It is really cute, but best of all, it works!  Thanks for being patient with me.

Ding, Dong! My Phone is Dead!

ACK!  What's a girl to do when her cell is LITERALLY ALL BLOWN UP?  It is either possessed by demons or has truly kicked the proverbial bucket...most likely the latter, due to a certain toddler who loves to pretend she is calling her homegirls, her Nana, and more than likely, Paris and Tokyo.

Anywho, if you are trying to reach me, please  email me!  I have 2 computers, and they are both working just fine.  Too bad I can't magically transform one of them into a phone.  Bummer.

Bobby just started his new job at Tate Financial Group in McKinney, TX.

A few nights ago, one of the puzzles on Wheel of Fortune (the ONLY TV show Millie will pay attention to...and is absolutely obsessed with) was a phrase---"LOOK SHARP".  I actually said out loud, "Who says THAT?  That is soooo 1984."  But today, as I photographed Bobby for his new profile pic, I couldn't help but think, "Man, he LOOKS SHARP!"

Hmmm.  I guess I am just a big ol' dork who played ZZ Top just a little too much in middle school and lyrics are finally escaping, 20 years later.  Either that, or Pat Sajak is responsible for catapulting once-tired exclamations into overnight colloquial sensations.  You decide.

I Need a Weather Fairy

Seriously...anyone know where I can find one?  I mean, not even eBay can pull me through on this one.  Shucks.  I know this is Texas and I should just be grateful that I don't have to live in this slush year-round, but still...I want my beautiful photo shoot weather back.  Plus, the wintry mix is getting in the way of us using our new fire pit (my mom got it for Bobby for Christmas at Smith & Hawken) to make s'more s'mores!  We have only done it once...messy, but gooooood messy!

Yum!  I want s'more o' dat!  Okee dokey, smokey...gotta go put on more socks and sweatshirts and scarves and stuff.  Later!

Leave Me Alone...

...I'm glamorizing in wild anticipation of the Golden Globes.  Now let me be so I can see whose shoes can even compete with these.  Muah, dahlings!  Muah!

Thoroughly Modern Millie

Today, since it was Bobby's last day of freedom before starting his new job, we decided to take a little family field trip.  We got a little dressed up (well, a couple steps above our favorite ensemble---pajamas) and jumped in the car.

Mr. Bear...CHECK.
Purple Straw Sippy Cup...CHECK.
Baby Doll, aka "Bay-Bay"...CHECK.
"Go-gos" (goldfish---the snack of choice), diapers, random accessories, caffeine (NOT for Millie!), gum (once again), full tank of gas...CHECK.

It only took us an hour to get out of the garage.  =)

Here are some spontaneously taken photos of Miss Millie during her 3rd, yes 3rd, visit to Fort Worth's Modern Art Museum.  She still manages to take my breath away at least 2, 734 times a day...and Bobby, well, he's not too bad either!  =)

I Need to Step Away from...

the M&Ms and get my tail to steppin'!  Ugh, what is it with the winter weather and a sudden inclination to pack on pounds???  Even poor Noopsy, our dog is doing it.

Bologna_slicecr

We took him for his 5 year old appointment today and he weighed 8 lbs.  To some of you, this may seem normal, or even small, but considering he is supposed to weigh 5 lbs., this is a travesty.  I say, "Yeah.  Lick those chops, boy, 'cause tomorrow it is "Green Bean City" for you!"  Jenny Craig, where are you?  Kindly give us a visit, or we will hafta invest in some elastic waistbands really soon.

For those who are wondering, Bobby & I had an absolutely perfect and romantic time in SF.  My chicken legs got a great workout since we stayed on Nob Hill at the Stanford Court Hotel and my arms were feeling the burn from the workout my camera was giving them.

We had scrumptious gnocchi and tiramisu at Panta Rei in North Beach...met Fabrizio, the owner there...a cool Italian dude with whom we will try to stay in touch.  Also had the yummiest Swiss & Mushroom Burger at Mo's Grill and the sea bass with truffle oil and mashed potatoes at Alioto's on the water in Fisherman's Wharf is to die for...I completely cleaned my plate on that one...my birthday dinner!

So, if you go to SF, bring your fat pants.  All the hills in the world can't burn off the carbs you'll consume in the city by the bay.

So, now that I am an old lady (turned 30 on the 29th), I'd better get m y geriatric tail to bed.

...the Envelope, Please (drumroll...)

Way to Go on being prompt, readers!  You guys ROCK!

I thought that it might take you guys a while, but man you people are SHARP...you are ON.  As JJ once said, "DY-NO-MITE!"

Taking home the blue ribbon, our 1st Place Winner is Wendy Kidd, event coordinator extraordinaire at Storybook Ranch .

2nd Place goes to Jenny Vernon, who might want to quit her nurse gig for a job in PR.  I swear, I did not have to advertise one bit in 2006 because of Jenny's campaigning and super-sized network...she knows EVERYBODY!

The 3rd Place Winner is Tracey Smith, one of the sweet, petite, and trusty troops holding down the fort at Baylor L & D.

An Honorable Mention was given to cool chick Meredith Braaten, a new client who was hot on Tracey's heels for 3rd.

Thanks for playing along, and be sure to bookmark & check out JP's New Official Website as well as this site on a regular basis...I will be updating them as often as I can!

Next up, photos from my San Fran trip!

Roll Out the Red Carpet & Call the Paparazzi!
